Science and Technology
Science and Technology provides opportunities for students to learn about natural and made environments by engaging in scientific and technological activity. Science and Technology involves students in investigating, designing and making, and using technology.
Science and Technology education is a mandatory, integral part of the curriculum. We believe it is a way for children to learn about themselves and their environment which emphasises first-hand experience, inquiry and problem solving.
At St. Joseph's, Science and Technology is integrated into our programs as part of our Inquiry Approach method. Science and Technology, Human Society and the Environment and Personal Development and Health provide the content for our units of study while the key learning areas of English, Mathematics, Creative and Practical Arts and Science and Technology provide the processes through which we learn.
