Human Society and its' Environment
This area deals with the interactions of people with one another and with the social, cultural and physical environments as they attempt to meet their needs.
The aim is to develop in students the knowledge and understandings, skills, attitudes and values which enhance their sense of personal, community, national and global identity and enable them to participate effectively in maintaining or improving the quality of their society and their environment.
At St. Joseph's, Human Society in its Environment is integrated into our programs as part of our Inquiry Approach method. Science and Technology, Human Society and the Environment and Personal Development and Health provide the content for our units of study while the key learning areas of English, Mathematics, Creative and Practical Arts and Science and Technology provide the processes through which we learn.
Students will engage in learning experiences which will enable them to develop knowledge and understandings
